Week 1 - Kiva.org

Because of the birthday trip and starting up of this blog, this had been a pretty self-obsessed week - I hope this won't be the trend for the year!  Luckily, I remembered that I had some credits sitting on kiva.org for a while so just went ahead and loan the money to three groups of women: a woman in Kenya named Kibibi to restock her cloth shop, a woman in Philippines named Juvy to grow more rice, and a group of women in Nicaragua for farming.  Microloan has its share of problems, but these loans at least give me the satisfaction of directly helping some people in need.
